Journals #6: Revelations 21-22

I think the main point is that God wants to have a civilized society with good people living in it. It reminds me a lot of Noah's Ark, the way god talks about the good people live and get a new beginning, and the bad people will die a second death, condemned to hell. I think God has seen how we human often forget the goodness he has given us, and that he needed to show us again. It seems like God wants to be more involved and present with the people and their everyday lives. The way the new Jerusalem is desc ribed gives great mental images, it makes you wish that you were able to be there and see it for yourself with your own eyes. It sounds like a kingdom fit for t he finest for the finest kings. And God is opening it to everyone, no matter your status, if you have been a faithful follower, you will see this splendor. Also, Eden is restored, which may symbolize that God trusts these people to follow the rules and listen to him . I think all of this is Gods way of saying thank you to the people who have been faithful and devoted to him.
