Graffiti is Vandalism

Graffiti is Vandalism. It is Graffiti has started to appear more regularly in the last 15 years, but only recently it has started to spread more widely around the world. So as it has become common in my business place neighborhood of Chicago south side. Just a few weeks ago I experienced Graffiti on the shutter door of my business which is on South Ashland Avenue. This Graffiti represents some symbol of a gang as I was told by the other old businesses store owners on the street. It destroys the look of my business. I had to get it painted to remove this gang sign/symbol which is totally disturbing to my customers as some used to look at it and talk about it among themselves. The police of Chicago cannot do anything about it as they have not seen anyone doing it, but they do realize the same gang symbol on many other business shutter doors. The police said they are aware of this crime and hope they will able to stop this someday. I would request the city to have my business shutter door painted or pay for the expenses as they did for my neighboring business owner.
This case is a controversial as some people are in favor of Graffiti. They look Graffiti as an Art. They do not realize how Graffiti damages public places, market walls, subways walls, alleys, government and private buildings. It destroys the appearance. It destroys the beauty.
