In this paper I will talk about ATV’s. An ATV is an All Terrain Vehicle. They are also called four wheelers or quads. ATV’s are built to go where other vehicles cannot go. They are also able to handle a lot of stress and abuse and are for the most part indestructible. We see them today used for recreational use, racing, and even just to have as a way of transportation. You do not need to have a special permit or driver’s license to drive an ATV but sometimes special training is recommended by several manufactures. Some manufactures even give free classes or offer discounts if the safety training classes are taken.. There is not an age limit to ATV’s because they are not operated on public streets or highways. There is a recommended age depending on the size of the ATV. It is important to wear protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, boots, and chest protectors. These few things can help and even save your life when you find yourself unable to control your ATV. There are three common types of ATV’s bought and manufactured today. Three common types of ATV’s I will discuss are Yamaha, Honda, and Kawasaki.
Yamaha has a large selections of ATV”s in utility and sport models. They make the top of the line Grizzly 700. It has a 686cc fuel injected engine. The Grizzly has better power and driveability under different weather and altitude conditions because of the EFI(Electronic Fuel Injection).
